This project will help you to master and teach your parents the technologies we have covered in class. In doing this learning project you will also cover the syllabus topic: Australia in the Vietnam War Era from the Year 10 Australian History Syllabus, if you want to you can view it here (it is on page 38).
On the right in the sidebar you will be able to see some sites that may prove helpful in completing this learning project. If you haven't already, please set up accounts on each of these sites so that we will be able to share information. Also, students, could you help set your parents up with blogs, facebook, del.icio.us and myspace accounts. This will make sure that you can connect with your group members and their families during the project.
Australian Involvement in the Vietnam War

1.Your task is to investigate the different points of view during the Vietnam War.
Imagine you are living in Australia during the time when the Vietnam War is being fought. Your group is to investigate one of the following each:
- Pro War Supporter - in favour of Australia's involvement in the Vietnam Conflict
- Anti War Protestor- opposed to Australian involvement
- Vietnam Conscript - being sent to Vietnam
2.Once you have negotiated which point of view each of you will be taking, you are to investigate your chosen role and explain what you may have felt during this time.
You are to contribute to this wiki as well as adding any useful sites to your del.icio.us account. In order to create order on this wiki, make sure that you create a new page and label this as your role e.g. Anti war protestor. This makes sure that there is no confusion and everyone is clear on what they are writing/have written.
3.Your next step is to find relevant pictures and/or videos and add these to your new page on this wiki. Remember this page is to be labelled with your role e.g. Pro war supporter. Remember to look at your other group members' sources, they may also help you.
4.Finally, with the help of your parents you are to discuss, as a group the question: Discuss the different viewpoints in response to Australia's involvement in the Vietnam War. Support your answer with various technologies from Web 2.0. Integrate these technologies into your answer, so that it is supported by hyperlinks and videos/photos etc.
